The examiner asks you about yourself, your home, work or studies and other familiar topics.
- Who was your biggest hero or role model when you were a child?
- Are there any famous historical figures from your country?
- Have you ever met someone famous in person?
- Do you think you would enjoy the lifestyle of a celebrity?
- What qualities do you think a good leader should have?
Part 2: Long Turn
You will have to talk about the topic for one to two minutes.
Part 3: Two-way Discussion
You will be asked further questions connected to the topic in Part 2.
- Should highly paid athletes and entertainers be expected to act as perfect role models for the youth?
- What are the most essential characteristics of an effective political or business leader?
- How heavily does the mass media influence who society collectively views as a 'hero'?
- Do you think we can accurately judge a historical figure by modern moral standards?
- In what ways can ordinary citizens make an extraordinary impact on their local communities?
