Part 1: General Questions

The examiner asks you about yourself, your home, work or studies and other familiar topics.

  • What do you usually do in your free time?
  • Do you prefer spending your free time alone or with other people?
  • Did you have different hobbies when you were younger?
  • Is there any new hobby or activity you would like to try in the future?
  • How much free time do you realistically get during a normal week?

Part 2: Long Turn

You will have to talk about the topic for one to two minutes.

Part 3: Two-way Discussion

You will be asked further questions connected to the topic in Part 2.

  • Why is it important for people to have hobbies outside of their work or studies?
  • Do you think the government should provide more free public leisure facilities?
  • How have leisure activities changed in your country over the last few decades?
  • Is it better to have active hobbies (like sports) or passive hobbies (like reading)?
  • Do people in modern society have less free time than previous generations?
