  • Do you prefer watching advertisements on television or on the internet?
  • Have you ever bought something simply because you saw a commercial for it?
  • Do you find most advertisements entertaining or annoying?
  • What kind of products are advertised the most in your country?

Part 2: Long Turn

You will have to talk about the topic for one to two minutes.

You will be asked further questions connected to the topic in Part 2.

  • How does advertising directed specifically at young children affect their behavior and desires?
  • Should the government strictly regulate the advertising of unhealthy products like junk food and alcohol?
  • How have modern digital algorithms changed the way companies advertise to consumers?
  • Do you think the constant exposure to idealized images in media damages people's self-esteem?
  • Will traditional forms of advertising, such as billboards and TV commercials, eventually disappear?
